Clifton's Cafeteria, 7th and Broadway, Los Angeles.
I would have loved to have seen the Pacific Seas location on Olive with its 20 foot dining room waterfall, tropical plants, indoor rain storms, and the absolutely insane exterior that annoyed the LA Architectural Commission so much they threatened to sue, but it closed in 1960.
Only this location survives out of the eight Clifton's restaurants. The interior is decorated with a California Redwoods theme in a not-entirely-unlike-old-Disneyland-crossed-with-the-Natural-History-Museum way.
